We hope to promote a shared vision of our Anglican tradition,
to introduce the content of the Bible and to create such an
atmosphere of caring, that understanding is gained and ministry to human needs is achieved.
Church School
Sunday Church School for all ages is at 9:45am
during the fall, winter, and spring months.
Children's Chapel
During the 11:00am Sunday service, at the time of the sermon, a separate worship service, in the Whitehead Chapel,
is provided for children between the ages of three and eight.
The children join their families in church after the sermon is given, so that together, as families,
they may share the Eucharist.
EYC
Our Episocpal Youth Community meets every 2nd and 4th Sunday from 4:30-6:00pm. The youth gather to enjoy games, have discussions, eat supper and end the evening with a prayer circle. The youth are also active in community outreach as well as providing needed services to their church.
Adult/Youth Confirmation Class
The Sacrament of Confirmation is a mature and public expression of our commitment to Christ. Through this sacrament we renew the promises and vows made at baptism. Confirmation Inquirers’ classes are held each year prior to the Bishops Visitation. These sessions are under the direction of the Rector or an individual who is qualified to give instruction.
Vacation Bible School
Each summer, St. Michael’s sponsors Vacation Bible School for children three years old through fifth grade. Adults and youth, sixth grade and up, are invited to volunteer as teachers, teacher assistants, or helpers. This activity takes place in the evenings.
Nursery
A nursery for children under age four is available on Sunday mornings from 9:00am-12:30pm and whenever evening programs are offered.. The Nursery is located downstairs within our Child Development Center.
Child Development Center
For many years St. Michaels has provided a Child Development Center for preschool children, infants and toddlers. Through our qualified teachers and weekly chapel services, children receive a foundation of academic skills, personal Christian values, and creative play on which to grow. For more detailed information, please click on this Child Development Center link located at the top of this page.
