St. Raphael

The Archangel Raphael window depicts Raphael with a torch. In Jewish lore, he leads the dead into sheol (the underworld). The roots and branches that grow around Raphael indicate that he is a healer to the earth and human beings. He is the angel of joy and light, as well as the angel of science and knowledge. In his left hand is a fish, the meat and oil of which are medicinal. The name Raphael translates, "God has healed." |

This window is given to the glory of God and in thanksgiving for the lives of Kaye and Irving Pahl by family and friends. The Pahls had served the parish in countless ways, including service on the Window Committee.
