                MUSIC
Music is a vital and integral part of our parish life and ministry. We provide opportunities for involvement for all ages - from singing in the various choirs, to participating as instrumentalists and soloists.

             Choristers
The Choristers follow the tenets of the Royal School of Church Music. The RSCM is an ecumenical organization that promotes high standards for church music throughout the English-speaking world. The curriculum used is called Voice For Life. This comprehensive, intense training scheme allows children to move at their own pace as they learn the fundamentals of singing, reading music, and leading liturgy.
The RSCM Choir sings once a month at the 11:00am Sunday Service and for special occasions. The repertoire of this group consists largely of hymns, plainsong, Anglican chants and challenging anthems.

The Senior Choristers participate in an annual Diocesan Choir Event.

                        OUTREACH
The Outreach Commission is an extension of the church’s ministry outward into our community and inward within our church.

Harvest Hope Food Bank

This is a community organization that provides food for individuals in need.  A member of our congregation coordinates the collection and delivery of monthly food donations from our parishioners.

Koinonias

To keep track of our parish neighbors, the congregation is divided into geographical zones called, Koinonias. These groups are present for their parish neighbors at times of births,  family deaths, or hopitalizations. They deliver food and give support where needed.

Mission Guild

The Mission Guild assists those who live outside of the physical walls of our church and who are in need of help in living their daily lives. They completely furnish apartments at St. Lawrence Place insuring a comfortable living roon, fresh bedding, a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. They also send "care" packages to soldiers in Afghanistan, sponsor periodic blood drives and prepare and deliver meals for the Winter Shelter.

Quilters

The quilters group, an arm of the Mission Guild, makes gift quilts for babies and children who are being housed in shelters in the Columbia area. They also make Baptismal quilts and quilts for the shut-ins of our parish.

St. Lawrence Place
Run by Trinity Housing Authority, St. Lawrence Place provides transitional housing for families that are trying to move from being homeless to being self-supporting. It provides training and counseling to reenter the work force.

St. Martha's Guild

These individuals utilize their culinary talents in a unique ministry.  They provide an "End of School" party for children at St. Lawrence place, deliver meals, Easter baskets and Christmas cookies for homebound parishioners and prepare desserts for the Winter Shelter.

TLC - Teams of Lay Care Givers

The ministry of these individuals is to touch the lives of parishioners who are unable to attend church with us.  The teams visit the ill and homebound in hospitals as well as their homes.

Transient Ministry
The Outreach Commission is structured to help non-parishioners who come to the church in need.

York Place

York Place is a residential facility in York, S.C., for children with special needs.  Each year, the collections from the annual Thanksgiving Day service are given to the Episcopal Church ministry.
