STEWARDSHIP

Stewardship is the individual’s management of all of life’s resources, the gifts of God which come with creation and redemption. We manage these through the responsible use of our freedom and a growing awareness of the meaning of our Baptismal Covenant in Christ. We must always be conscious that we are accountable to God for what we do to ourselves, to each other and to this small planet, Earth.
The grace, love and forgiveness of God are free. You may enter St. Michael and All Angels’ Episcopal Church on any week-day or weekend and experience the sincerity of its priests, the warm welcome of its members, the power of its liturgy, and the integrity of its teaching. We are eager “to tell the old, old story of Jesus and his love...” and to live-out that story in our relationships.

                          TITHING

Tithing is an ancient biblical concept which has its origin in an agricultural society’s response to God for the fruits of the earth. Historically, the Tithe - one tenth - cannot be separated from the ancient culture’s economic support of Temple and priesthood.
Tithing - the act of offering to God ten percent of one’s blessings - has evolved to be the guideline by which faithful Jews and Christians confront the tendency to be parsimonious, avaricious, unjust and uncharitable. Tithing is a disciplined form of caring and sharing.
